James "Jim" Lewis Riggins
1960 - 2013
James "Jim" Riggins, 53, passed away Monday November 25, 2013.
The family will celebrate his life in a private memorial.
Jim was born in Placerville, CA on May 3, 1960 to Robert Riggins Sr. and Kathy Riggins. He grew up in Weaverville and Fall River Mills, California. He played high school sports and graduated from Fall River High School in 1978.
He will be remembered for his hard working attitude, caring personality, and his love for the outdoors. Jim touched many lives during his life and was a trusted friend. He was loved by many and will be missed tremendously.
Jim is survived by his mother, Kathy Riggins; brothers Robert Riggins Jr., Mark Riggins, Dean Riggins, John Riggins and their families. He is also survived by his children and step children; Jerry Riggins, Jennifer Riggins Thaxton, Jesse Riggins, Jonathan Davenport, Misty Davenport, and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Riggins Sr.

I am saddened by the passing of Jimmy. Losing a loved one at such a young age is very hard and my heart goes out to Kathy and my cousins. Your family has always been special to me and I love all of you.

I remember growing up with Jim and his brothers in Weaverville. He was on my brothers little league team. Jim always played with great sportsmanship and a go get em kind of attitude!
